Québec City

French Immersion

A walled UNESCO city where every shopkeeper answers in French. Fastest immersion in North America, and the only one you can reach by motorcoach.

Students order lunch in French on day one. By day three they stop translating in their heads.

Why we recommend it

  • Closest true French immersion reachable by coach from the Northeast
  • UNESCO Old City keeps the group on foot: more contact hours, fewer transfers
  • Winter Carnival dates sell the seats parents actually want to photograph
  • Language and history share one zip code. One trip, two departments.

On the ground

  • Château Frontenac
  • Montmorency Falls
  • Winter Carnival
  • Ice Hotel
  • Dog sledding
  • Plains of Abraham

Why we recommend it

  • International stamp without jet lag from the Northeast
  • Bilingual city: French practice plus urban culture in one stop
  • Easiest first passport trip for nervous admin teams

Toronto

Skyline & Culture

The CN Tower by afternoon, Niagara Falls the next morning. Canada’s largest city is a media and finance capital with the energy to match, built around one clean Ontario coach loop.

A culture-and-skyline unit that often costs less than a domestic flight.

Why we recommend it

  • ROM and the Distillery District round out a full culture day
  • Niagara Falls day without buying a separate itinerary
  • Often cheaper than a domestic flight for Northeast schools
  • CN Tower views anchor the skyline half of the trip

Field Science

Glacial geology you can put your hand on. Moraine Lake at sunrise, larch valleys in September, an icefield in between.

Earth science, at scale. The only itinerary where the landscape is the entire curriculum.

Why we recommend it

  • Landscape is the curriculum. Glacial geology at arm’s length.
  • Earth science departments finally get a flagship field trip
  • Moraine and Icefield deliver the photos that fundraise the next cohort

Canada questions

What school trips does GLOBAL Educational Tours run in Canada?

We run 11 itineraries across 3 destinations in Canada: Québec City, Montréal, Toronto. Every itinerary is customisable, and we build new ones on request.

How far ahead should we book a Canada school trip?

Four to six months is comfortable for Canada. That gives families a workable payment runway and gives you time to recruit. Seasonal departures book about eleven months out and still fill.

What is included in the price of a Canada trip?

Transport, accommodation, listed meals, every activity on the itinerary, local guides, taxes and gratuities. The per-student number you show parents is the number they pay. Optional extras such as an insurance upgrade are always priced separately.

How many chaperones travel free to Canada?

One free place per ten paying students on domestic and Canadian departures. Groups over sixty receive an additional complimentary place.

Does planning a Canada trip cost anything?

No. Building itineraries, comparing destinations, running an interest page and sharing quotes with families is free, with no card on file. You pay only once you confirm a departure and travellers begin their payment plans.
